I'm building the Revell AG Peterbilt Firetruck. For anyone unfamiliar with this kit, it is a truck that was used by the Burnsville, MN fire Dept. This is kinda cool for me since I lived in Burnsville for 8 years and now live in Apple Valley(next city to the east). I did contact Burnsville Fire to try to get reference pics but they no longer have it. I was told it was sold to a local person and I could contact the Fire Chief for info to possibly contact the new owner.
Pics of model to come
If I do get pics of the real truck, I'll post them here too.

I didn't know that was based on a real truck. I thought Revell just came up with a cool idea 4 a Pete kit. Anyhow, I'll be watching this one.

Here's a link to a pic taken by someone else. flickr.com/photos/wogggieee/2437426930/in/set-72157604701370241/What I would like to get are photos of the interior, engine, and the back of the truck.

The real truck taken about ten years ago. The man and boy are my father and nephew.: A quick mock-up to check ride height. I did have to lower it a bit from box stock. This photo was taken after I lowered it.

Looks good.I read that the town went with a production commercial chassis to save money rather than useing a more exspensive fire truck chassis

I know they bought two of them in 1980. I know they do have another newer Pete similar to this one now. There seems to be alot of other towns in the area using commercial production chassis based trucks too.

Nice, I think this truck is in the Pete 359 brochure for 1984. I'll have to look. It's just a front shot though.

I reworked the deluge gun that came in the kit to more closely represent the one I've seen in photos on flickr:

Now this is neat! I've actually never seen this kit built before. I know I've bid on a couple on eBay for a possible straight job project or parts truck. Haven't scored one yet though. Looking forward to seeing this one done. I like your reference pics. Very cool!! Johnny
